My vacation dreams? After a lifetime in Wisconsin, except for the rare trip to California or Texas to visit two of my sisters, I'm ready for "the big trip".
My vacation dream would be a month or more in Australia with my wife and twin daughters. I'd love to be able to escape this cold weather and spend some time exploring the edge of the ocean from another continent. I want to travel roads I've never seen before, experience the sights and sounds of new places and people. I want to experience things we've never afforded to do, exotic kayaking on distant rivers, long treks up mountains and through valleys.
After nearly 30 years at a job I chose because I knew it would allow me to be home with my family, we're grown and ready to experience the world. My daughters are graduating from college, my wife is no longer providing care for her late father. We have some time to finally spend pampering ourselves with the opportunity to travel to far-off lands.
